This TreeDiaper^® TD20 Advanced Hydration System is ideal for smaller plants that are planted in the ground. Simply soak the mat in water to get it started, then place it around your plants. Its user-friendly circular shape is designed to be placed on top of various types of soil and fits in #15-#20 gallons containers for container plants growing in containers. If the plants in #15-#20 gallons containers are to be planted in the grounds, please use TD36 or use this size calculator to figure out.

TD20 is made of one ring with an inner hole of 3" diameter. It may not be suitable for multi-stem shrubs. TreeDiaper^® TD36 or TreeDiaper^® TD48 are made of multiple pieces and would be better choices.

For plants in grounds, it is suitable for trees and shrubs up to 15" of rootballs or plants grown in #5-#7 containers. We recommend covering a circle area roughly double the rootball. If the rootball diameter is larger 15", or if the plant is from #10-#20 containers, please check up TreeDiaper® models with a larger diameter. Also considering the caliper growth in the next 2-3 years after planting. If you prefer a natural look, just add mulch on top of the mat. Because the TreeDiaper® treemat is made from durable materials, it can be used for years!
